Nine years ago, my daughter, Layla was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. She was only 2 years old. To administer her insulin and manage her glucose, one of the top endocrinologists at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) suggested that she gets a Medtronic pump.
After a year on the pump, she developed some skin irritation at the insulin injection site. We tried all moisturizing products in the category, including the major ones and none of them works!
So, as a concerned father who happens to be a professional pharmaceutical chemist with 15 patents in Research and product development in the skin treatment area, I set out to solve this problem.
